The BJ-X portable metallographic microscope has its own vertical lighting source, so it can be easily used on site to identify the organizational structure of various metals and alloys when it is impossible to make a sample. It is suitable for metallographic inspection and failure analysis of various large workpieces on site. It does not require cutting and sampling, but directly grinds and polishes the workpiece to ensure the integrity of the workpiece. The portable metallographic microscope is suitable for aviation manufacturing, machinery manufacturing, vehicle manufacturing, boiler and pressure vessel manufacturing and inspection, petrochemical, railway, shipbuilding, power plants, power stations, equipment installation, large molds, safety testing, quality supervision, physical and chemical laboratories and other industries. It can also be widely used in factories and laboratories for the identification of casting quality, raw material inspection or research and analysis of metallographic structure after material processing.

 

Sample preparation and operation steps:

Operation steps: Carry out according to the metallographic sample preparation requirements of GB/T13298-2015.

Pretreatment: Use an "angle grinder" to roughly grind the metallographic part to be tested with an angle grinder wheel: grind off the oxide scale and do a good job of surface treatment.

Rough grinding: Use an "angle grinder" to replace the sandpaper to perform rough and fine grinding on the pre-treated parts according to the particle size from coarse to fine;

Specimen polishing: Use the "angle grinder" to replace the polishing wool felt to grind the finely ground part, spray the diamond polishing agent onto the finely ground part, and polish the specimen with the wool felt.

Metallographic inspection: The workpiece polished into a mirror surface is metallographically corroded according to the metallographic corrosion method of the material, and the corroded sample is placed on a portable metallographic microscope to observe the metallographic structure.
